Assam Skill University (ASU) had the distinct honour of welcoming Shri Biswajit Daimary, Hon'ble Minister, Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship; Sports & Youth Welfare; Handloom, Textiles & Sericulture; and Indigenous & Tribal Faith & Culture, Government of Assam to the ASU Mangaldai Campus for an official visit, in presence of Shri Paramananda Rajbongshi, Hon’ble MLA, Sipajhar; and Smti. Ayushi Jain, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Darrang on 19^th June, 2026. During the visit, the esteemed guests toured the University’s academic and skill training infrastructure, including its specialised workshops, laboratories, classrooms, and other key facilities. They were briefed on the University's academic programmes, industry partnerships, skill development initiatives, and its vision of creating a highly skilled, employable, and future-ready workforce for Assam and the Northeast. The delegation also interacted with University officials and faculty members, engaging in discussions on strengthening skill education, enhancing industry-academia collaboration, and expanding opportunities for youth through quality, industry-aligned training and higher education
