Assam Skill University commenced its first batch of academic programs with the Deeksharambh 2025 Student Induction Programme, held from 1st to 7th August 2025. This marked the formal beginning of various newly launched programmes: 

•  Diploma Courses.
•  B.Tech Courses.
•  Integrated B.Tech Courses.
•  Five-Year Postgraduate Courses.
•  Postgraduate Courses.

The induction program was designed in alignment with UGC guidelines to welcome and orient new students, helping them integrate into the academic and social fabric of the university.

• Day 1: Introduction to the Department

The first day involved orientation at the departmental level, where students were introduced to faculty, staff, and given a brief overview of their courses, syllabi, and academic expectations.

• Day 2: Central Inauguration at District Library, Ambari

The second day’s proceedings took place at the District Library, Ambari, featuring addresses by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Academic Head, Controller of Examinations, Assistant Librarian, System Administrator, and other esteemed guests. Dr. Bibhuti Bhushan Bhardwaj delivered the formal Vote of Thanks, concluding the central inaugural session.

• Day 3: Academic Structure and Gender Sensitisation

On the third day, students were introduced to the Academic Calendar, class and lab routines, examination system, and a session on Gender Sensitisation to promote awareness and inclusivity on campus.

• Days 4 to 7: Policies, Conduct, and Campus Life

The final days of Deeksharambh focused on familiarizing students with:

•  Anti-ragging policies and online declaration submissions.
•  Hostel rules and regulations.
•  University norms, discipline, and student support services.

• Student Engagement Activities

Throughout the week, students took part in interactive and cultural activities, including poster-making, collage work, singing, and drama, which provided a platform to express creativity and connect with peers.
