Observation of Anti Ragging Week and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan
Assam Skill University observed Anti-Ragging Day on 12th August as part of the Anti-Ragging Week celebrations. The event began with a comprehensive awareness session on anti-ragging, aiming to educate students about the consequences of ragging and the importance of fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment.
Following the session, students viewed informative videos provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC), which highlighted the serious implications of ragging and the measures taken to curb it across educational institutions.
An essay writing competition was also organized on the theme “Youth Against Ragging: Building Safe and Inclusive Campuses.” Students enthusiastically participated and expressed their commitment to creating a ragging-free academic environment through their thoughtful and impactful essays.
As part of the event, students also took part in an e-pledge and a mass pledge under the 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan', reaffirming their resolve to lead a life free from substance abuse and contribute to a healthier and more productive society.
The observance served as a reminder of the University’s commitment to student welfare, safety, and the promotion of a drug-free, inclusive campus culture.
