ASU organises District-Level Skill Education Awareness Workshop at DIET Cachar
A District-Level Awareness and Counselling Workshop was organized on 6 June 2026 at DIET Cachar, Udharbond, with the support of DIET Cachar Udharbond and SEED Foundation, Sivasagar. The programme witnessed participation from representative of Assam Skill University, DIET Cachar Udharbond, State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD), Udharbond, SEED Foundation, and Durganagar Nayaram Higher Secondary School. Around 153 students and faculty members attended the workshop and engaged in discussions on the importance of skill development, vocational education, and emerging career opportunities.
Representing Assam Skill University, Ms. Syeda Mehzebin Rehman, Gender & Indigenous Peoples Specialist, Assam Skill University Project (ASUP), delivered a presentation on the University's vision and mission, academic programmes for the 2026–27 session, state-of-the-art facilities, and the diverse career pathways available through skill-based higher education.
