District-Level Awareness and Counselling Workshop held in Bongaigaon
Assam Skill University (ASU) organized a District-Level Awareness and Counselling Workshop on 2 June 2026 in Bongaigaon with the support of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Birjhora Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Bongaigaon, and SEED Foundation. The workshop featured a comprehensive presentation on Assam Skill University’s vision of building a future-ready workforce through industry-integrated education, hands-on learning, and strong industry partnerships. Students were introduced to the University's academic programmes for the 2026–27 session, state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops, hostel facilities, and the wide range of career pathways available through skill-based education. The programme was attended by Dr. Basanta Kumar Das, Principal, Birjhora Kanya Mahabidyalay; Dr. Gagan Sarmah, Vice Principal, Birjhora Kanya Mahabidyalay; Smt. Nirmali Barman (APS), Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bongaigaon District; Dr. Reshmi Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, Birjhora Mahabidyalay; Mr. Aminul Hussain, Chairperson, SEED Foundation; Ms. Julina Kashyap, Assistant Director, Community Outreach & Public Relations, Assam Skill University; and Syeda Mehzebin Rahman, Gender & Indigenous Peoples Specialist, Assam Skill University Project (ASUP). Around 150 students and faculty members from Birjhora Kanya Mahabidyalay, Birjhora Bengali Medium High School, Railway High School, Birjhora Girls’ & Boys' High School, and Bongaigaon University participated in the workshop.
