National Sports Day Celebration

Assam Skill University celebrated the National Sports Day Celebration on 29th of August, 2025 by paying tribute to hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand and joining the nationwide Fit India Mission movement.
The program began with a welcome note by Dr. Shapna Medhi, Assistant Professor, followed by addresses from Dr. Bhabaranjan Sarmah, Controller of Examination and Director of Students’ Welfare, ASU and Prof (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Deka, Academic Head, ASU. 
Md. Hanif Noorani, ACS, Registrar, ASU delivered the inaugural speech, after which all participants took the Fit India Pledge, followed by a group photo and the opening of the games by the faculty members and officials of ASU.
Followed by it, students started participating in the following sports event:
- Poster Competition (Team Event)Relay Race – Marble & Spoon (Team Event)
     - Unity in Action (Team Event)
     - Musical Chairs (Students, Faculty & Staff)
The celebration truly reflected the theme “Sport to Promote Peaceful Societies” by showcasing the spirit of fitness, teamwork, and unity.
