Assam Skill University organised the PhD Induction Programme 2026 on 17 August 2026 at its campus in Mangaldai, with the participation of PhD scholars, supervisors, Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and officials from the Department of Industry Engagement & Outreach.

The programme focused on familiarising research scholars and supervisors with the University’s PhD rules and regulations, academic procedures, research governance framework, and institutional expectations for doctoral research.

The programme commenced with a welcome address, followed by a session on “PhD Rules, Regulations and Governance of ASU”, delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Deka, Dean-Academics.

The highlight of the programme was the invited lecture by Prof. Hiranya Kumar Nath, Sam Houston State University, Texas, USA, who interacted with the participants and shared valuable insights on research and academia.

The programme concluded with an interactive session involving PhD supervisors and research scholars, encouraging meaningful academic exchange and further strengthening the research ecosystem of Assam Skill University.
