The Department of Electrical Engineering offers industry-oriented specialized programs in Electric Vehicles (EV) aligned with the vision of a Skill University to develop a highly competent and future-ready workforce for the rapidly evolving clean energy and sustainable mobility sectors.

The department combines strong fundamentals of electrical engineering with advanced learning in key areas such as electric vehicle technologies, battery management systems, power electronics, smart grids, and sustainable energy solutions. The curriculum is carefully designed to balance theoretical concepts with practical skill development, ensuring students gain hands-on experience through state-of-the-art laboratories, simulation platforms, and industry-driven projects.

Students are actively engaged in real-world applications, including EV charging infrastructure, hybrid and electric mobility systems, and integration of renewable energy with transportation networks. This experiential learning approach enhances problem-solving abilities and prepares graduates for immediate industry deployment.

In addition to diploma and undergraduate programs, the department also offers a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in domains like Electric Vehicles, Renewable Energy, and Power Systems etc. The PhD program is designed to promote advanced research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration, enabling scholars to contribute to cutting-edge developments in sustainable energy and electric mobility.

The program focuses on building technical competencies required in the modern energy and transportation sectors, fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable thinking.

Passed the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination in a single sitting, without grace marks in Science and Mathematics. Mathematics and Science shall be compulsory subjects, and the candidate must secure a minimum average of 40% marks in Mathematics and Science for General candidates, 35% for SC candidates, and 33% for ST candidates. Compartmental candidates shall not be eligible.
