Certificate Course on Road Construction Technology

Eligibility

  • Diploma or Graduate in Civil Engineering
  • On-the-job Training for 2 weeks, Theory component: 30%, Practical component: 70%

Procedure

  1. Registration:

    Applicants must register on the admission portal and pay a registration fee of ₹300.

  2. Document Verification:

    Once the documents are uploaded, the applicant's details will be verified.
    After verification, the applicant will be called for an offline counselling session.

  3. During the counselling, the original documents, including mark sheets, must be presented for verification.
    Fee Payment:

  4. Upon successful document verification, the applicant can proceed to pay the admission/course fee of ₹14,100.
    Final Admission:

  5. After the payment is completed, the admission process will be finalized, and the applicant can officially join the classes.

At the end of the course, students will be able to-

  • Perform essential road surveys like Origin-Destination, Traffic Data Collection, Axle Load, and Topographic Surveys, crucial for effective road planning and analysis.
  • Conduct advanced testing on the materials used in both flexible and rigid pavements
  • Design and construct flexible and rigid pavements in accordance with IRC codes, utilizing modern road construction equipment and methods.
  • Identify distresses in pavements and formulate effective remedies, ensuring road durability and safety.

 

Career progression after completion of the course

Upon successful completion of the certificate course in road construction technology,

  • The trainees will emerge with an in-depth understanding of road construction technology, making them ideal candidates for positions like Junior or Assistant Engineer in road construction agencies.
  • The trainees will master the art of designing both flexible and rigid pavements, leveraging the most up-to-date IRC standards and sophisticated design software. This skill set will ensure they can handle complex design challenges with confidence and precision and start their own consultancy firms, if they want.
