Assam Skill University established a pioneering department under the School of Manufacturing and Construction, dedicated to Civil Engineering in the year 2024. This department, one of the first in the category of skill education in the entire north-east India, focuses specifically on the construction component, blending theoretical knowledge with practical skill development to address the evolving demands of the construction industry. At present, the department is exclusively providing brief certificate programs to enhance employability of diploma and graduate engineers, but it has plans to introduce full-time undergraduate and post-graduate degree programs in the near future.
