Procedure for Admission

National Level Test

Candidates who have qualified for fellowship/scholarship through UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, CEED, or similar national-level tests are eligible for direct consideration based on an interview

University Entrance Test

Candidates may also apply through the Ph.D. Entrance Test conducted by Assam Skill University. The test will comprise 50% research methodology and 50% subject-specific question.

Eligibility for Interview

  • Candidates securing 50% or above marks in the Entrance Test will be shortlisted for the interview round.
  • A relaxation of 5% marks will be granted for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/Differently-Abled/EWS categories or any other category as per government norms.

Selection Criteria

For candidates appearing through the university-conducted entrance test weightage as follows:

  • 70% for Entrance Test performance
  •  30% for Interview/Viva-Voce

The university will decide the number of candidates to be called for the interview based on the availability of Ph.D. seats in respective Departments.

  • You will be re-directed to the Form. You will be asked to sign in to your Google Account to access the form.
  • After signing in, please enter the details in the form.
  • QR Code has been provided in the form. Please make a payment of Rs. 436 by scanning the QR code and upload the screenshot of the payment. Please make sure transaction id is visible in the payment screenshot.
  • Partial payment will not be considered.
  • Applications will be considered only for those candidates that have filled all the details, completed payment and uploaded the screenshot.
