Assam Skill University’s School of Agricultural and Food Technology envisions a skilled workforce poised to transform the NER's agriculture and food processing sectors. The comprehensive programs offered by the school shall span cutting-edge domains, including food technology, agricultural sciences, quality control, tea production, horticulture, animal husbandry, and sericulture. Driven by industry partnerships, demand-driven curricula offered by the school shall equip graduates with both technical expertise and essential soft skills.

As the population surges, sustainable food production becomes paramount. The future hinges on productivity, environmental stewardship, and food security. Efficient supply chains, powered by technology, minimize waste, and ensure equitable distribution. Sensors unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and artificial intelligence (AI) redefine agriculture, while sustainability and business insights shape a resilient ecosystem. Through practical training, apprenticeships, and entrepreneurship support, the school is envisaged to elevate the employability of the youth in the region in the sector.
